UNILAB RADIATOR SUITE is a one of a kind software, a unique tool that definitely adapts to the needs of the radiator manufacturers. The software gives the possibility of rating compact heat exchangers used in several fields, such as, for example, the automotive (radiators) or the gas generators used in various cycles for the production of power energy, and is the best solution for companies with a varied production: you simplify the work procedures bringing together different projects using one software.
The software originally consisted in 3 modules: Tube & Fin, Plate & Fin, CAC Core Assly.
The name Tube and Fin derives from the fact that this exchanger is composed of two tubes and between them there is an exchange element which is either a fin or a bar. TUBE&FIN allows the calculation of combinations of monophase fluids aeriform-liquid.
The name Plate and Fin derives from the fact that this exchanger is composed of two plates and between them there is an exchange element which is either a fin or a bar. PLATE&FIN module allows the calculation of different combinations of monophase fluids: aeriform-aeriform, aeriform-liquid, liquid-liquid.
The module CAC CORE ASSLY allows the calculation of combinations of monophase fluids: aeriform-aeriform or liquid-liquid.
So basically it allows the calculation of different combinations of monophase fluids: Tube & Fin (aeriform-liquid), Plate & Fin (aeriform-aeriform, aeriform-liquid or liquid-liquid) and CAC Core Assly (aeriform-aeriform or liquid-liquid).
Later on, thanks to the case studies performed for our customers Sutton Stromart Ltd. And Ira Radiatori, we developed two additional modules that adapt to particular needs, proving that radiator suite can be a flexible and effective tool able to adapt to the customer.
PAF3, allows to design a combined radiator, and is a software capable of handling three separated gas flows impelling on the same heat exchanger.
ALOA allows to design radiators with round tube core configuration, using oval brass tubes (in line or stag-gered) and flat copper fins ( could be louvered or dimpled).
Currently, UNILAB RADIATOR SUITE, like all UNILAB software, uses a wide variety of fluids: it contains the thermodynamic properties from the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) latest version of the Refprop library.
