UNILAB HEAT PIPE

HEAT PIPE is the latest generation of software developed by UNILAB for the HVAC industry, which allows to calculate and design heat exchangers such as heat pipe. This component allows the user to perform detailed structural and thermodynamic analysis. HEAT PIPE, as all UNILAB products, uses a wide range of fluids (ref. REFROP ver.8 of NIST - National Institute of Standards and Tecnology), including more than 140 fluids commonly used in the refrigeration and air conditioning industries. The software, through simple and intuitive masks of calculation, provides detailed technical results for each part of the exchanger.

HEAT PIPE is an exchanger divided into three zones: condenser side, adiabatic side and evaporator side, consisting of special tubes. These tubes are not such as common coils, they are closed and built with the fluid, at a certain pressure, already insides in them.

Calculation Modality

HEAT PIPE works in "Verify": all construction parameters (geometry, number of rows, number of items for line) are known, making possible to calculate the power required  when is linked to the specific capacity or vice versa, or knowing the details of the fluid (fluid flow, inlet and outlet temperature).

Additional features

- archive's management  (materials, fluids, customers)

- unit measure systems (standard systems: imperial and S.I.; custom: custom and technical)

- user's management (corporate data, company logo)

- languages (Italian, English)

- simple and intuitive graphic interface

- detailed printout with summary of input and output data, drawings of heat exchanger

- projects' sharing in a common archive.
