“Update Easy” icon.
Soon we will release a new update of EASY, with the possibility, in the 2D drawing, to insert and view the coils manifolds horizontally. The new version has also introduced an important improvement on the management of the U-bends.
It has been introduced the possibility to choose the horizontal manifold, in the X-circuit; the heights of the tubes of the circuit have been managed in a correct way, improved the visibility of the opened drawing scheme in SI and Imperial. We also managed the connections from the horizontal manifold to the Coils.
This update also contains minor bug fixes and general improvements in performance and stability, and is strongly recommended for all EASY users.
EASY is the circuitry design module of COILS, available separately: a specific & independent application that collects all the necessary constructive information relating to the Coils Heat Exchanger (from the Unilab Coils project) and allows the automatic creation of circuits, .

According to the number of circuits, the software proposes one or more layout solutions. It is able to handle skipped tubes, bends and U-bolts. It includes the tools to create, save or load patterns manually. It also features useful hints with suggestions to guide the end user in the creation of the circuit. The user can also save circuit patterns in the archive for quick retrieval. Finally, after having clicked on the creation of the automatic circuit and having visualized the many automatic circuit solutions proposed, now the user has the possibility of manually modifying the circuits’ patterns found automatically! Essential for building coil heat exchangers (frame & manifolds), very useful for the Production Dept. (calculation of cost and weight), Easy allows to create and export metal sheet drawings for the production! A fundamental feature also allows the user to create a Bill of Materials, exportable in Excel format, also with the number of hairpins and U-bends weights and material prices (the materials can be managed independently in the archive, also inserting prices! With the possibility to export drawings (2D in DWG; 3D in ASCII STL, Binary STL, IGES, OBJ, STEP, Bitmap, EMF).

COILS allows the calculation of the coil in verify (known the geometric and thermodynamic characteristics, the software gives as output the data referred to the maximum performance that the COIL can grant under equal conditions) and sizing (given a treatment to be carried out, and fixed the geometric characteristics required, the software provides a list of usable solutions leaving the customer the possibility to select the most technically suitable one).
An expandable geometry archive and a constantly updated fluids and refrigerants department makes COILS an essential tool for the technical department.
