We are excited to announce that the Gas Cooler calculation module is officially available in Unit Selector HYBRID. The module is available on demand for all Unit Selector Hybrid customers who request it, at an additional cost.
GAS COOLER is the new calculation module available in Hybrid for:
– Evaporating Units
– Unit Coolers
– Dry Coolers
– Condensing Units
In August 2017 we introduced Gas Cooler, the software for transcritical calculation of Co2 finned pack heat exchangers, which since its release has become the most accurate and used solution in the industry. To date, however, the software has always been distributed as a standalone version. You can find more information about Transcritical Gas Cooler at this address: https://www.unilab.eu/heat-transfer-software/unilab-gas-cooler/
The market for ventilated units is moving in this direction, and our long-standing customers needed to be able to introduce gas coolers as a calculation method in Unit Selector Hybrid as well. Hybrid has been for years the best solution for the selection and estimation of ventilated units, remote condensers, dry coolers and static evaporators. With the addition of Gas Cooler, the software confirms itself as a point of reference in the forefront for companies in the sector, capable of handling even the most recent market demands.
The module introduces in HYBRID the calculation method of our software TRANSCRITICAL GAS COOLER.
GAS COOLER divides the exchanger into 100 sections, and calculates the heat balance for each section. The thermophysical properties therefore vary section by section, unlike COILS, which to perform the thermodynamic calculation, averages the thermophysical properties between the beginning and the end of cooling.
From the interface point of view, we have made the introduction of Transcritical Gas Cooler almost seamless and imperceptible, despite the significant “under-the hood” changes to the calculation engine to adapt Hybrid to this new mode.
The user, as previously in Hybrid, by accessing EASY TO DO, creates the series and associates the calculation method Gas Coolers.
The rest of the workflow has remained intact, in full continuity with the past, and without upheavals that require the user to learn new logics.
Nothing new then: you can create the series and associate the new calculation method.
Gas Cooler is now available both as a Standalone version and as an add-on for Unit Selector Hybrid.
