5 MODULES FOR YOUR RADIATORS

UNILAB AUTOMOTIVE SUITE gives the possibility of rating the compact heat exchangers used in several fields, such as automotive (radiators), gas generators used in various cycles for production of power energy.
The software consist in 5 separate modules: Tube & Fin, Plate & Fin, CAC Core Assly, PAF3 & ALOA. It allows the calculation of different combinations of monophase fluids.

Currently, AUTOMOTIVE SUITE, like all UNILAB software, uses a wide variety of fluids: it contains the thermodynamic properties from the NIST (National In-stitute of Standards and Technology) latest version of the Refprop library.

THE MAIN 3S

The name Tube and Fin derives from the fact that this exchanger is composed of two tubes and between them there is an exchange element which is either a fin or a bar. TUBE&FIN allows the calculation of combinations of monophase fluids aeriform-liquid.
The name Plate and Fin derives from the fact that this exchanger is composed of two plates and between them there is an exchange element which is either a fin or a bar. PLATE&FIN module allows the calculation of different combinations of monophase fluids: aeriform-aeriform, aeriform-liquid, liquid-liquid. 

NEW FEATURE! Plate&Fin now allows the calculation with Humid Air (additional module)

NEW FEATURE! On Plate&Fin, we have introduced a multi-calculation feature to perform multiple calculations using various parameters such as relative humidity and pressure!

The module CAC CORE ASSLY allows the calculation of combinations of monophase fluids: aeriform-aeriform or liquid-liquid.

+ 2 NEW NEW MODULES!

PAF3 allows to design a combined radiator, and is a software capable of handling three separated gas flows impelling on the same heat exchanger. PAF3 considers radiators which have a common frontal side, where air impacts on the radiator, which is then divided into different sections (in PAF3 you can divide in 2, 3, 4 sections.) with, for example, water and glycol flowing on one section, then oil flowing on the other, and air flowing on the third section. The program also allows you to change the fluids on the different sections and to consider different fin types per each section!

NEW FEATURE! PAF3 now considers condensing of compressed air inside the tubes of an intercooler, allowing you to obtain the outlet fluid flow of compressed air and the outlet RH. The compressed air inside the tubes undergoes dehumidification, which occurs at higher temperatures, with or without specific humidity. 

ALOA allows instead to design radiators with round tube core configuration, using oval brass tubes ( in line or staggered) and flat copper fins ( could be louvered or dimpled).

AUTOMOTIVE SUITE is the evolution of our RADIATOR SUITE, a software that offers the possibility of rating the compact heat exchangers used in several fields, such as automotive gas generators (radiators), used in various cycles of power production.

The following modules are available: PLATE&FIN, TUBE&FIN, CAC CORE ASSY, PAF3, ALOA.

All designs in Radiator Suite are application specific, ensuring efficient and cost effective design with regard to heat transfer and the fin and geometric data relative to the heat exchanger and you can fine tune this according to your laboratory data.

Why would you prefer automotive suite?

UNILAB AUTOMOTIVE SUITE IS UNIQUE, and allows a wide choice of different types of fins and/or bars. UNILAB AUTOMOTIVE SUITE allows the calculation using any geometry, such as corrugated and multiport fins, louvered fins, corrugated, smooth, offset strip, oneport tube and multiport tubes. The great advantages are two: choosing the right module for your radiator, and fine-tuning the software according to your laboratory data! This is Radiator Suite!
