Number of Passes Definition

UNILAB Minichannel provides the option of defining the number of passes (up to a maximum of 10) and for each of these, the tube distribution so as to improve the heat transfer coefficient.

MINICHANNEL is the new revolutionary software offered by UNILAB for the design of condensers of refrigerant fluids in minichannel (compact heat exchangers where the multiport diameter is higher than 2 mm).

Why would you prefer UNILAB MINICHANNEL?

Compact heat exchangers, especially preferred in the AUTOMOTIVE and HVAC fields, are lighter than traditional condensers: a feature which allows for considerable savings, both in terms of cost and size. MINICHANNEL condensers are high performance exchangers. Despite their reduced dimensions, they grant, they grant higher global heat transfer coefficients.
Thanks to MINICHANNEL the final user can define the multiport and different types of fins used in microchannel condensers. With a simple and intuitive process, the end user can define the number of passes (up to 10 passes), improving the distribution of tubes for each pass and the global heat transfer coefficient. This new software allows the analysis of the various phases: deoverheating, condensing and anti-overheating (cooling). This is made possible by the use of local equations which consider the quality (data lower than 0 and data higher than 1.

MINICHANNEL, on the air side, allows other types of gases (not only air) to be considered.
