SHELL SELECT simplifies the commercial selection process, making it an essential tool for businesses looking to streamline their Shell & Tube heat exchanger selection. This module is designed for ease of use, helping users quickly identify the most suitable heat exchangers from a commercial standpoint, factoring in cost and performance criteria to ensure optimal decision-making. The SELECT module can be developed as an Offline or Online module!

From the UniSuite SHELL calculation engine, Unilab can develop a SELECTION SOFTWARE, working Offline (Desktop) or on the WEB, allowing your agents or distributors to select between your range of products. Since the selection software represents the company’s product range, it must be realized coherently with it: the adherence of the selection software to the needs of the sales network is in fact essential. SHELL can be developed as a standard SELECTION module, which allows to select the exchanger and produce a technical report including a drawing and the price of the exchanger. Commercial license bundles are available for agents and distributors. The standard SELECTION form allows slight customizations: logo, address.

TAILOR-MADE SELECTION MODULE: If the selection process, in addition to being a mere product choice, should be presented as a formal document that the company decides to produce in family line with the rest of the company documents, or with specific data that the sales network or customers like, or with different levels of detail, the creation of the SELECTION module in this case no longer passes through the standard quote, but through 3 steps:

  • Analysis of customer needs
  • Definition and issue of custom specifications and validation by the Customer.
  • Execution of software according to customized specifications.

Cascade: Evaporating & Condensing in the same hx

Our advanced shell software now empowers engineers to design, rate, and select cascade evaporator-condensers with precision and efficiency. Unilab has introduced the innovative Cascade Mode in our UniSuite SHELL and UniSuite PLATE & SHELL software. This feature enables a fluid to condense on one side of the heat exchanger while simultaneously evaporating on the other side. Typically, as an example, this involves ammonia evaporating and CO2 condensing within the same heat exchanger, significantly enhancing thermal efficiency and process performance. It is possible to calculate evaporation on shell side with a condensing tube side, but also condensing shell side with evaporation tube side.

Corrugated Tubes (Geometrical Insertion) 

Users can GEOMETRICALLY insert one-start CORRUGATED tubes into Shell and Tube as well as Tube in Tube applications WITHOUT ANY CORRECTIVE FACTORS.

This feature is exclusive to our software and has been the result of months of dedicated research, of which we are immensely proud.

An extensive archive of Corrugated tubes (along with the existing Low Finned tubes) is now available, with full geometrical insertion, with absolutely NO factors applied.

Two-phase/two-phase Vaporizer

SHELL now allows to calculate two-phase/two-phase vaporizers, where water vapour at low pressure, low temperature on one side is vaporized with water vapour at higher pressure and temperature on the other. Another case where this application is used is also water vapour on one side an methane passing from liquid to gas on the other.

In addition, in the Pro version, it is possible to calculate also Cascade evaporating shell side-condensing tube side & cascade condensing shell side-evaporating tube side. It is also possible to calculate two-phase/two-phase vaporizers, where water vapour at low pressure, low temperature on one side is vaporized with vapour at higher pressure and temperature on the other.
  • Printing is simple and essential, with the most important data, without having to print multiple pages and sheets when you need one. Simple for you and your customers. 
  • Take advantage of an extensive archive of OILS, and of more than 200 liquid foods and beverages, with possibility of adding new fluid and gas mixtures in the archive.
