Since the SELECTION software represents the company’s product range, it must be realized coherently with it: the adherence of the selection software to the needs of the sales network is essential. For this needs, unilab has developed X-Shark, our unique platform to select and quote Air-Water and Water-Water Chillers and Heat Pumps, Precision Air Conditioning (Close Control), Air Conditioners, Rooftop Units and other units with refrigerant cycle. Unilab X-Shark includes, as a starting point, a standard SELECTION module, which allows to select the unit, to give its performances on specific working points (thanks to a calculation engine shared with the SHARK module and to the use of the generated project files), to add a technical drawing of the selected unit, to offer pricing, dimensions & weights.

A standard starting point, to cut to zero new products’ Time to Market

Unilab’s X-SHARK Standard solution is capable of cutting to zero the Time to Market of products. From Unilab’s experience in the selection of refrigeration cycle equipment (Air-Water/Water-Water Chillers & Heat Pumps, Precision Close Control AC, Condensing and Condenserless units), we designed the commercial selection software X-SHARK STANDARD. A FAST TO MARKET solution designed specifically for companies that want to get out on the market quickly with their units, or for companies that need a basic starting point, essential but scalable and customisable with a view to continuous improvement. Our developers, together with our engineering team, have defined a typical unit selection tree and created a tool allowing the autonomous loading of all the necessary data, through a user-friendly Excel based structure.

After creating the initial structure, the software can be managed BY YOU, in 2 ways:

1) Directly from the projects you create in Shark, our technical software for simulating refrigerant cycles, or

2) Suppose you do not have Shark or cannot simulate certain units with Shark, or do not have all the data and want to go out on the market with some basic starting data, or present your new units at a trade fair with a simple dataset (dimensions, prices & standard conditions at 7°C & 35°C outside air). Or better, you have certified your units with Eurovent, and wants a very precise output. It is possible to feed the software with an Excel spreadsheet, with the possibility of linear or multi-tabular data interpolation.

A standardised starting solution, in line with market requirements, with a competitive initial price and complete autonomous management of the data by your technical office, to boost your sales. Program will display your logo, company data, starting page and product images, and further interface customizations are possible on demand.

The selection procedure can be made as User friendly as possible, to help your customer navigating the software easily until the selected unit. It is possible to create steps based on certain filtering criteria:

Selection and Verify

By selecting the type of unit, the filters and fields will change automatically.
Selection is linked to the models that your engineering has created in the technical software, and particular limits can be imposed to help users being guided through the selection procedure effortlessly.
The software allows calculation in heating and cooling, along with full load and part load calculation.
In Selection mode, simply input the required load and the software will select the appropriate unit or unit (s) complying with the selection filters and the tolerance entered by the user.
By just entering the required load for a model, the X-Shark engine will AUTOMATICALLY calculate the part-load condition to satisfy the capacity required by the user. If a unit gives 700 kW at full load, & the user requests 500 kW, X-Shark will automatically find compressor staging allowing to satisfy 500 kW.
In Verify Mode, just choose a model, and the software will perform its full load calculation.

Accessories and Printout

Select a unit and include accessories with toggles: featuring possibility of associating pre-required accessories, and rules of mutual exclusion or inclusion of accessories coupled with others.
Possibility of adding special accessories on-the-go, and to associate prices to each accessory (requires offer management)
Show/Hide prices, or display different prices according to the user level.
Apply a specific discount or a multiplier, or a specific pricelist according to the market
Decide what you print (all pages or single pages: description, technical data, drawing, refrigerant scheme, unit render)
Customize Unit measure according to the different market.

ENERGY DYNAMIC ANALYSIS & COMPARATIVE SEASONAL EFFICIENCY: X-SHARK is capable of selecting a specific town/city of interest to calculate the seasonal or annual energy capacity/power/ efficiency, etc. Also available “Seasonal simulation; Part Load simulation & Energy saving simulation, with cost saving!
OFFER MANAGEMENT: The software provides full offer management on request, with the possibility of introducing customer anagraphic data (or even linking it to the ERP), customizing texts and conditions for and adding custom accessories created on the go, or selecting accessories with mutual exclusion and inclusion rules. Also here it is possible to manage different prices depending on the level of users, or different price lists with pricing and discounts options depending on the market or user.
MULTI-ITEM OFFER: Select different models from different typologies of units (Chillers, Heat Pumps, etc.), add them to a unique, multi-unit offer, through the “Shopping Cart” function, then edit the quantity on the go and print!
STATISTICAL ANALYSIS (Offer Utility): evaluate the performances of your sales force! You can include a web application collecting all statistics, access from users number of offers per agent, product range, price range, deal closing time, type of unit offered, number of units in an offer, accessories chosen, refrigerant chosen, conditions of the selection & all data required to be used for analytics purposes!
