China Refrigeration 2020 in August: where and how
Organisers recently confirmed that China Refrigeration 2020 will be held in Chongqing. The most well-known Asian trade fair about refrigeration, air-conditioning and ventilation systems was originally scheduled to take place in Wuhan from 8th to 10th April this year.
The Covid-19 pandemic, with its epicentre in that same Chinese city, resulted in a change of venue and the postponing of the event. After careful consideration and efforts to ensure that all health and safety regulations are respected, the new dates have finally been announced.
When will China Refrigeration 2020, Chongqing take place?
The exhibition organisers announced the news on April 30th: China Refrigeration 2020 will take place in Chongqing, approximately 900km from Wuhan, from 19th to 21st August. This important HVAC&R sector trade fair will definitely go ahead, to the relief of many local exhibitors.
China Refrigeration Expo, is one of the key events of the Asian and global markets. Exhibitors from all over the world provide previews of new products as well as showcasing the most recent developments in technological innovation. The fact that last year’s event attracted over 60,000 visitors from all over the world is an indication of its significance.
Restrictions imposed by the organisers are extremely strict. Full compliance with anti-covid health and safety regulations must be guaranteed, with particular attention to maintaining the minimum distance between people and the use of gloves and masks (by both visitors and exhibitors).
The Beijing International Exhibition Center Co. Ltd. (the association organising the event) has given its assurance that the entire area housing the event will be made completely safe for participants. The threat of coronavirus is still present and the Chinese government definitely does not want to risk a new epidemic.
Close collaboration between organisers and exhibitors
The chance to avoid cancelling China Refrigeration 2020 was made possible thanks to close collaboration between event organisers, exhibitors and other important organisations that were involved. It is the result of considerable effort by many people, who, together, have managed to save the thirty-first edition of the fair.
This combined effort was focused mainly on monitoring the evolution of the epidemic (from home, via consultation of appropriate, reliable sources). Only by using authentic, confirmed information could they go ahead with the development of safety strategies, in order to guarantee that anti-coronavirus precautions would be respected.
The fact that the leading companies in the HVAC&R sector (both in Asia and the West) signed up for the event encouraged the Chinese government to approve the new dates. This fair is very important for international business relations and it is sponsored by the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Exchange (CCPIT Beijing).
Expo is an excellent showcase for new technologies connected with refrigeration, air-conditioning, heating and ventilation, but also those related to the storage, processing and packaging of food products. It is an opportunity that no big name company in those sectors would want to miss.
As well as the dates for China Refrigeration 2020 in Chongqing, the dates of the 2021 edition have also been announced: in fact, it will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from 7th to 9th April. From mid-July, exhibitors and visitors who would like to take part can register on the official Expo website.
