ACHEMA Pulse ready to go
ACHEMA Pulse is the digital platform of the German trade fair ACHEMA: a window on the chemical and biotechnology sectors, presenting the latest developments via online interaction using forums, company profile pages and the chance to make new contacts.
The web event is scheduled for 15th and 16th June 2021. Two very busy days are expected, with the participation of thousands of companies, exhibitors and visitors, who will be able to meet, exchange ideas and find out about the latest and most innovative solutions.
Will ACHEMA Pulse replace ACHEMA?
As in the case of many other fairs, the traditional ACHEMA event has been postponed until 2022 (4th to 8th April). The decision to postpone this important live meeting was a difficult one, but was unanimously approved and supported by the entire board of exhibitors and the organisational committee of DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH.
The CEO of DECHEMA explained that current instability due to the coronavirus health crisis and uncertainty regarding freedom of movement would make it difficult to stage a fair of such dimensions. After careful consideration, it was therefore decided to postpone the live version of ACHEMA until next year.
The efforts and regular communication promised by organisers to keep those interested in the latest developments in that sector up to date, have come together to create ACHEMA Pulse: an online platform with will use digital tools to allow stable connections and direct ‘face to face’ interaction with the chemical industry’s biggest names.
The live event then, is not being replaced by a digital one, rather an additional event is being held which will enhance the experience. The idea is to help exhibitors and visitors interact safely, despite the current difficult circumstances.
Topics planned for ACHEMA Pulse
The event, planned for 15th and 16th June as mentioned above, will offer many opportunities to find out more about the industry. Matters of global interest will be discussed, such as Digital Lab, Modular and Connected Production and Product and Process Security. There will also be a panel dedicated to the environment and sustainability.
There will be a detailed presentation and official launch of the Digital Hub, with an overview of its many aspects. During the two days, it will be possible to use the virtual PRAXISforum, where participants will find information relating to the latest technological developments.
There will also be an area dedicated to the winning projects from the first ACHEMA Innovation Challenge: this competition has involved start-ups, companies and students who had to consider problems affecting routine industrial operations and develop innovative solutions.
Multiple methods of interaction
As well as being a way to stay up to date, ACHEMA Pulse is also an important way to make new contacts and broaden one’s business network. Exhibitors and participants will have many methods of interaction at their disposal, allowing them to start conversations and exchange information.
Digital company profiles will also be available, which exhibitors can use to present their particular range of products and services individually. Contact methods will include chat facilities and audio and video calls in real time.
In order to enable everyone to find what interests them more easily, a matchmaking system has been prepared, which will present the various options connected with each theme. There will also be a kind of speed dating system, designed to match participants according to their common interests.
The aim of ACHEMA Pulse to achieve a high level of digital interaction is a wide-ranging project, which will be reflected in future editions of ACHEMA. DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH’s objective is to provide a broader experience for participants, by giving them new ways of embracing the world of chemistry and biotechnologies.
