Multimedia presentations: how to impress your clients
How can we prepare effective professional presentations? Here is a list of practical tips to help you achieve your objective with the greatest simplicity:Â eight suggestions to put into practice in order to make your projects stand out from the rest.
- Set an objective
In order to create good client presentations we must first set an objective: before we begin, we must consider who our audience is, what interests them and how we can communicate with them so that they will understand our message. Next, we should select a key idea which will stick in our audience’s minds.
- Use a pen and paper to plan the structure
Whether it’s a question of concepts, ideas, percentages or statistics, everything to be included in our presentation must be noted down on a sheet of paper, and subsequently arranged into a logical order, which should be clear, complete and engaging.
- Divide the topics into slides
Multimedia presentations designed to enthrall clients always have well-defined topics:Â each slide must relate to a different concept, numbered lists should be used in moderation and written information should be adapted to fit the space available.
- Avoid the use of pre-defined templates
Using pre-defined templates means the loss of originality and personalization: the ideal would be to create our own graphic layout, and complete it with the elements we prefer. Of course, this is a more time-consuming process, but the results will certainly be far superior.
- Use specific software
In order to create effective professional presentations we advise the use of specific programs such as PowerPoint, Keynote or Prezi:Â these tools allow you not only to create a range of templates from scratch, but can greatly improve the personalization of each individual slide.
- Choose colours and fonts
Any self-respecting presentation must have well-balanced colours and fonts: use a system (for example, all the titles in the same font) and use colours which work well together and don’t make the graphic layout too heavy. Always check that everything is legible.
- Choose appropriate images
To obtain the best results, we advise matching the text and background graphics with appropriate images:Â these must provide the presentation with a sense of logic and facilitate the assimilation of information.
- Leave empty spaces
Empty spaces make the slides easier to read and reduce the sensation of heaviness:Â the best choice is to opt for a graphic style which is clear, light and simple.
Creating good client presentations is not a simple task by any means, but by following these tips you will be sure to obtain more than satisfactory results.
