EuroShop: see you in 2023
The long-awaited trade fair EuroShop 2023 has recently been confirmed at last. The best-known retail fair in Europe, it attracted 94,339 visitors from around 142 different countries during its last edition, in 2020, a few months before the pandemic.
The next edition of this prestigious event will take place in Düsseldorf, from 26th February to 2nd March 2023. Consultations with exhibitors and sellers from various sectors have already begun and the event organisers have set up an online portal for those interested in the event to register.
A completely redesigned event
Although putting on a trade fair as large as EuroShop 2023 is no easy task in such uncertain times, the entire convention staff are working flat out to guarantee participants the best possible experience.
Everyone, including exhibitors, visitors and representatives of the various companies involved in the project, have expressed their intention to resume face-to-face meetings and start to rebuild inter-personal relationships. In order to facilitate this, the following stands have been added:
- Shop Fitting & Store Design/Visual Merchandising (Stands 10,11,12);
- Surfaces & Materials (Stand 13);
- Illumination (Stand 13);
- Catering equipment (Stand 14);
- Energy management (Stand 14);
- Refrigeration (Stands 15, 16, 17);
- Retail sales technology (Stands 4,5,6,7a);
- Retail marketing (Stands 3 & 4);
- Expo (Stand 1).
On one hand, the new structure ensures a more visitor-focused experience and, on the other, it facilitates the synergy between closely connected sectors, such as display mannequins and high quality store design or retail marketing and retail technology.
The materials and surfaces sector is currently undergoing a remarkable boom, involving products such as coverings for floors, walls and ceilings and acoustic solutions for the retail trade. As a result, a specially devoted section called Surfaces & Materials will be launched at the 2023 event.
Furthermore, sectors undergoing sharp growth, such as retail sales technology or refrigeration, will now have more space available among the stands. It is also of note that in contrast with previous editions, the Energy Management segment will have its own stand, which means it will be totally separate from the Refrigeration stand.
EuroShop 2023 goes digital
Part of EuroShop’s success stems from its capacity to evolve in tandem with the market and the changing conditions. In the new edition this feature will continue to be key, with the implementation of the so-called ‘Digital Extensions’: digital offers including solutions such as livestreams.
In addition to the programme of in-person meetings (consisting of eight main phases, featuring high level conferences and discussion forums about the latest developments, with examples of best practice and the presentation of innovative ideas, initiatives and trends), participants will also be able to use several online platforms in order to remain constantly informed.
Furthermore, the digital facilities will continue to be available for the rest of the year thanks to EuroShop 365: an ad hoc solution to help the community of this important fair maintain close contact, via social media and dedicated portals. This will make it possible to hold web chats or exchange useful ideas to improve the lead generation.
One thing is certain: EuroShop 2023 is going to be packed with new ideas and opportunities not to be missed.
