Chillventa 2018: all the news and some surprises
Chillventa 2018: what it is, what it’s about, where and when it will take place
Chillventa 2018 will be held in Nuremberg from 16th to 18th October: the international trade fair for the air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and heat pump sectors, which is held every two years and is now the key event for the HVAC&R sector.
The event’s international status is confirmed by the presence of a wide range of exhibitors, representing countries such as China, South Korea, the United States, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Thailand.
As well as being an event of fundamental importance to anyone operating in the sectors mentioned above , Chillventa provides young innovative companies with a platform to build advantageous business networks.
New features of Chillventa 2018
At this edition, exhibitors at the fair will be able to receive funding of up to 7500 Euros or have up to a maximum of 60% of their costs covered. The services included in these bonuses are those related to the exhibitor’s stand, electricity, furnishings, insurance, cleaning etc.
Although the funding has been reduced from 70% to 60% compared to previous editions, at Chillventa 2018, three different kinds of company participation will be supported. To be eligible for this support, companies must:
- Present innovative products and developmental processes;
- Have their main headquarters and commercial activities located within the Federal German Republic;
- Satisfy the EU definition regarding small businesses;
- Have been in business for less than ten years.
The main themes of this year’s fair will focus principally on the Internet of Things, cold water systems, IT security of refrigeration equipment, data centre conditioning and new climate targets.
That is not all; other issues that will be discussed at the fair include the heat recovery and re-conditioning of refrigerants, new developments regarding heat transfer, how to increase efficiency, new system solutions and heat recovery
Plenty of interesting and innovative subjects will be discussed on October 15th (the day before the official start of the fair) at the Chillventa Congress 2018, which aims to give participants an overview of what to expect at the main event.
The second edition of the Chillventa Award
This will be the Chillventa Award’s second year; an award aimed at recognising those experts who have succeeded in creating the best performing and most technically innovative and energy efficient projects.
Candidates for the award could be project designers, managers, developers or system builders. Whatever their role, the award will recognise the value of the individual and their efforts to make a difference in their sector.
Chillventa 2018 will guarantee innovation among exhibitors and their stands, as well as in presentations and tours aimed at trainees: the main objective will be to provide the latest updates on the current situation in the air-conditioning sector, while ensuring participants have a great experience.
That experience will be enriched by the participation of around 1000 exhibitors, as well as an estimated 3200 visitors and the strong international flavour of the event, characterised by the presence of a large proportion of exhibitors (approximately 68%) from abroad.
This is our brief introduction to Chillventa 2018, the Nuremberg fair which will be held next October and will provide a key meeting point for the HVAC&R community:
