Start your day well: practical tips
Rolling out of bed to the sound of the alarm, tripping over as you hunt around the bedroom in the dark for clothes, gobbling down one mouthful after another as you rush breakfast:Â if a good day starts with a good morning, such habits will be detrimental.
So here is a series of practical tips to get your day off to a good start:Â six great suggestions which will certainly help you to start your day on the right footing (without upsetting your daily routine).
1 Wake up an hour earlier
Of course waking up an hour earlier than usual is not easy, but it enables you to have more time to get ready without rushing. Those who think that this will deprive them of an hour’s sleep could just go to bed a little earlier to recoup.
2 Establish objectives for the day
If the day’s objectives are set out the evening before and you include some pleasant things that you want to do after finishing your daily tasks, in addition to facing the day better, you will be more motivated and efficient.
3 Drink warm water and lemon
Drinking warm water and lemon about half an hour before breakfast allows the organism to purify itself and expel toxins, and improves liver function while absorbing essential vitamins and minerals.
4 Walk for 20 minutes
This helps to relax the mind and prepare to face the tasks to be done. It is not necessary to over-exert yourself by running or walking at speed: all you need to do is simply to go outside in the fresh air for about 20 minutes and devote a bit of time to yourself alone.
5 Have a healthy breakfast
Seeing that, as everyone says, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you should make sure its components include protein, fibre and vitamins. You will thereby have all the nutrients required to make you more energized and efficient at work.
6 Listen to music
Once you have completed all the actions mentioned in the previous points, it is finally time to get dressed for work and attend to the final preparations before setting off. Why not turn on some pleasant relaxing background music at this point? It will be very helpful.
These are our 6 tips to help get your day off to a good start:Â little strategies you can put into practice each morning to help you increase performance and better face your daily challenges.
