UNISUITE SHELL – Build 210212 – CALCULATION WITH EFFECTIVE OR BALANCE VALUES
A new SHELL update is available! Build 210212 is available for all users under regular technical support, which can now download this latest version by clicking on the “Unisuite Update” icon.
In this Build, we have introduced important new features in the fluid-fluid calculation, first of all the inclusion of the option for the type of calculation EFFECTIVE or BALANCE.
The EFFECTIVE calculation (at maximum duty) was already available.
We have inserted an option on the screen where the user can decide which type of calculation/results to display:
- calculation with BALANCE values.
- calculation with EFFECTIVE values.
If the user chooses from BALANCE, the Capacity input requested by the user e.g. 50 kW, will be reported in the printout as “Required Capacity”.
In fact, the value requested by the user is reported, and the Global coefficient is broken into three parts: required global coefficient, calculated global coefficient and calculated fouling for the required capacity, which indicates that the exchanger will reach the power required by the user when it has that particular fouling.
Other changes introduced are:
- Checking the SHELL INTERNAL DIAMETER value at loading.
- Update of the calculation DLL.
The new build also introduces some general and stability improvements, and is strongly recommended to all users.
